We welcome military students to the Middleton, Wisconsin, campus of Globe University. Whether you are a veteran of the US armed forces or the dependent child of someone on active duty, we are here to help you achieve your educational goals.

Call us

To learn about admissions for military students, contact Globe University. We have dedicated military liaison staff to help you navigate the process. Call them at 866-342-3505.

Dedicated military staff

Our college has staff that focuses exclusively on military students. They are ready to assist with the admissions process, program evaluation, financial aid, military benefits and more. They are retired US Army First Sergeants who understand the concerns of military students. In addition to helping students with the admissions process, Mike Hughes and Mike Blumberg are available after students are admitted to provide support throughout their college careers.

Credit for prior learning

Military students who have completed training while in the service are often able to receive credit toward their college programs. Students should submit their military transcripts for review. At the least, students who successfully completed basic training will receive credit toward SS140, the Interpersonal Relations course required of all students. We will match additional coursework on the transcript to comparable Globe University courses. A student may request a military transcript from the appropriate agency, as follows:

Army

The Army uses the AARTS system to record academic credits from military training, and standardized tests. Army Officers must use the form DD 295 (Application for Evaluation of Learning) to report military training and experience.

Navy and Marines

Sailors and Marines may obtain transcripts from the Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript.

Air Force

Students seeking credit for Air Force training should request transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force.

Coast Guard

Coast Guard transcripts may be ordered from the US Coast Guard Institute (CGI).

Online college for active duty military

Globe University offers active duty military personnel the advantages of online college. Students stationed in foreign countries or at domestic bases may find that studying online is an excellent alternative. Students can complete assignments, attend lectures and discuss the material with classmates online and on their own schedules.

Military absence

A military student who is activated or who receives an assignment that will make him or her unable to complete class assignments may receive an extension. There are several variations of this option, so it is important that the student notify the school as soon as possible so that we can select the type of extension that fits the student’s circumstances.

Financial aid for military students

We offer several scholarships just for military students. Our military liaison officers can provide more information about these financial aid options. They can help you determine how our scholarship programs will work with your military benefits.
