Medical assistant training at our Middleton, WI, campus
We offer medical assistant degrees and diplomas that prepare students to take their places in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals and other medical settings:
- Associate in Applied Science in Medical Assistant (AAS). Students may complete this two-year degree in as few as 21 months of full-time study.
- Diploma in Medical Assistant. The diploma in medical assistant can be finished in 15 months of full time study.
Whichever program you choose, you will be ready to work alongside doctors, nurses and medical technologists providing care and treatment.

Certification — the next step
Our graduates are prepared to take the exam that leads to the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. Medical assistants with this certification are sought-after and well paid. This is an important consideration for students who hope to earn that certification. Both the diploma and the degree in medical assistant require students to complete a CMA review seminar. Associate degree students complete a course that prepares them for the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiology exam offered by the ARRT. We encourage students to apply for our Profesional Certification Scholarship to defray the costs of these certification exams.
